About us

The Association of the Printed Circuit Board Industry (VdL) is the trade organisation of the whole printed circuit boards industry. Members are manufacturers of printed circuit boards, their suppliers, assembly companies, designers and other professional groups linked to the industry in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the rest of Europe.

It is our aim to optimise the economical and political conditions and to strengthen the location in German speaking countries and in Europe.

Our activities improve the performance and the national and international competitiveness of our members. At the same time these activities are characterised by socio-political and ecological responsibility.

By common thought and action the members of VdL are forming a strong alliance.

The further development of the printed circuit board is accomplished by close cooperation of all partners within the value chain and further organisations of the industry.

VdL is the reliable partner for its members. The balance of interest between small, medium and large manufacturers is of special importance to us. And, at the same time, we act as a link between the segments of the various industrial sectors.

VdL is corporate member of the division Electronic Components and Systems within the Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie e.V. (ZVEI) – the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association.
